Inquiry after man is shot in leg

A 37-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being shot in the leg in the Everton area of Merseyside.

The incident happened on Mark Street at the junction with St Domingo Road near at about 2130 BST on Wednesday.

At this stage police say there was no motive for the attack and a forensic examination of the scene has been carried out.

The man is in a stable condition and his injuries - to his left leg - are not life-threatening, police said.

Two other men are in hospital after being shot in Fazakerley and Netherley, in incidents which are not thought to be linked.
