Man rescued from Liverpool dock

The man fell in the water near Stanley Dock

A 20-year-old man has been rescued from Stanley Dock in Liverpool.

A special rescue team from Merseyside Fire and Rescue service pulled the man from the water close to the Heritage Market on Saturday morning.

He was given first aid before being taken to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital for treatment.

It is not yet known how the man, who is said to be suffering from hypothermia, came to be in the water at about 1100 BST.
